Main Aims of Friends of Allonby
Canoe Club
Friends of Allonby was formed in 1981 and is an "Open"
canoe club accepting members from every age group and all walks
of life. The club provides all equipment for beginners.
One of the main aims of the club is to teach safe canoeing to
all age groups and abilities.
The club is affiliated to the British Canoe Union, and all club instructors have the required British Canoe Union awards for coaching. All of the club's instructors coach voluntarily receiving no remuneration for their time.
Friends of Allonby is a very active club and as well as offering
tuition of basic skills, allows you to develop specialist skills
in many different canoeing disciplines and competitive canoeing
activities to its members.
