Full Member
Any individual aged 18 or over

Junior Member
Under 18 on the 1st January. If under 16 a parent MUST also be a member but if they did not want to paddle they could join as a non-paddling Administrative member. (We have several parents who just help out occasionally and support our teams).
(Under 18`s are not allowed to vote or take office on Committees except as a member of the junior section)

Family Member
Includes 2 Adults and all under 18`s of IMMEDIATE family
(This category has been left loose in the hope that it caters for the modern family unit, it should not be abused. Immediate family is taken to be the same household or parent(s) and their own children)

Committee / Active Coach
This discounted rate is for full members who put in a significant amount of time to run the club. It includes any member of the main committee or a club coach who actively provides support to the clubs paddling activities and has a coaching qualification (including current first aid, CRB clearance)

Non-paddling Administrator
Many individuals and parents help run the club while not wishing to paddle themselves. We welcome any help offered by parents, especially of those paddlers who are under 16.

Affliated Group
This is for any group who wishes to affiliate to FOA Liverpool Canoe Club. This is for events, trips and pre-arranged sessions with a group leader present. Session fees will be payable to a club contact. Individuals taking part in general club sessions or regular trips are expected to have their own membership.
Affliated grouips can use club equipment or club venue on a non-club night by prior arrangement. At all times, the affiliated group will be under the direct supervision of its leader or coordinator, who will be responsible for any safety cover of their members. FOA club members may offer support or additional coaching by arrangement. (Examples of past use: Scout groups using polo pitches and equipment on a non-club night with support from non-waterbased polo coaches, joint trips and events with WGSA with their members / leaders providing cover and leadership for their paddlers; university canoe clubs participation in the British Universities League using our polo pitches and equipment)
