Why Change the Membership System ?? With the rapid expansion of the club we have the opportunity to make more efficient use of the facilities at the docks (multiple sessions / nights and get more club members paddling). The majority of club members will save money as our fees have actually been reduced. (Each session used to be £3.50!) 1/ The current membership system is far too complicated and unmanageable. 2/ The Club would like paddle on more than one night at the docks. Currently this is prohibited as we do not have enough administrators to collect session fees etc. 3/ Current Charging structure is unfair. (Under 18`s and Family fees are not proportionate to the full membership fee) 4/ Now that all our paddling activities are centred at Queens Dock a single fee would further promote a "one club" atmosphere. 5/ A two tiered payment system is clearly unmanageable, especially with multiple sessions now at the docks. It doubles the workload for administrators and has led to some members not paying for water time. 6/ It is becoming impossible to manage / administer the
increasing numbers in the club without a simplification of our
procedures. |
