Puffin Island - Anglesey

Puffin Island - less than 500 metres off-shore but with a large colony of very friendly seals in the summer. A few will usually 'race' your boat as you paddle along the island and they are VERY inquisitive as a whole.
Directions: A55 Coast Rd, over the A55 bridge over the Menai Straights, first right (A4080) then A545 to Beaumaris. Keep following the coast onto B5109 through Llanfaes then turn right (hidden cross-road and sign!) to Penmon Point. Stop in the 2nd layby as the road meets the sea (before the toll road to penmon point).
